Carlyn Montes De Oca,
L.Ac., M.T.O.M., Dipl. O.M.
As an acupuncturist, plant-based nutritional consultant and author, I am passionate about helping people transform their health so they can enjoy the life their heart most desires.
Prior to becoming an acupuncturist, I had a successful career in the motion picture industry. For almost twenty years I worked on such films as “Honey I Shrunk the Kids”, “Alive”, and “Three Men and a Little Lady.” The long, demanding hours and high stress of the film industry combined with poor nutritional habits, began to have a negative effect on my health. After a less than stellar blood test, followed by a good cry, I decided to make some changes. This experience, along with a long-held desire to do something more meaningful for others and the world, led me to enroll in the Master’s Program at Emperor’s College of Oriental Medicine.
I graduated from Emperor’s, Summa Cum Laude, and have been working in a clinical and private setting since 2002 in Redondo Beach California and now in Marin County. In addition to helping people through Traditional and Esoteric Acupuncture and Plant-Based Nutritional Counseling, I am also an author and speaker addressing audiences about holistic health, plant-based nutrition and the benefits of having pets as health and wellness allies.
My mission is to have the Greatest Pawsitive Effect on the lives of animals and the humans who love them.
I look forward to meeting you!
