San Anselmo acupuncturist Carlyn Montes De Oca is PETA's "Sexiest Vegetarian Over 50," beating 68 other contestants in a national online contest that drew 15,000 votes. Her campaign included YouTube videos, one describing her horror as a teen at the slaughter of a pig for a family dinner in Mexico. Her definition of sexy? "Being vibrant, healthy, energetic, attractive and compassionate," said Montes De Oca, left, who also rescues dogs. Among the age-appropriate prizes: being featured on Boomer-friendly PETAPrime.org; a PETA catalog gift certificate; and a DVD of Michael Feinstein's "American Songbook."
